Reducing CO2 emissions is a pressing issue on a global scale, and Toyota is working to become carbon neutral (CN) by 2050. Environmental vehicles must be widely adopted before they can truly contribute to CO2 reduction. Toyota is therefore offering a variety of options with a full lineup of electrified vehicles, including HEVs, PHEVs, BEVs, and FCEVs, to provide a sustainable means of transportation in a practical manner. It aims to reduce CO2 emissions with vehicles that are easy to use and attractive to customers.

Toyota considers BEVs to be an important option, and is preparing a full lineup of vehicles to meet a wide range of customer expectations. Toyota will develop the next generation of BEVs by 2026 with components such as batteries, platforms, and manufacturing methods that have all been fully optimized for BEVs.
